Itinerary

Day 1: Buenos Aires

Morning arrival. Transfer to the Emperador Hotel for 2 nights. Afternoon at leisure to explore the streets of Buenos Aires on foot.

Day 2: Buenos Aires

Breakfast

Morning tour of Buenos Aires, discovering its blend of European cultures and grand architecture.

Day 3: To Bariloche

Breakfast

Fly to Bariloche on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi. Transfer to the Hotel Edelweiss for 2 nights.

Day 4: Bariloche

Breakfast

Half day tour of Bariloche’s scenic surroundings, including Moreno Lake, Angostura River and Campanario Hill.

Day 5: To Puerto Varas

Breakfast, Lunch

Full day journey by coach and boat across the Lake District to Chile. Travel through lakes and mountains, past waterfalls and forests, to the lakeside town of Puerto Varas with views of the Osorno volcano on clear days. Transfer to the Cabana del Lago Hotel for 1 night.

Day 6: To Puerto Natales

Breakfast, Lunch

Fly to Punta Arenas and transfer to Puerto Natales, visiting the Magellanic penguin colony at Otway Sound en route (November to March). Stay overnight at the Hotel CostAustralis, overlooking the Last Hope Sound.

Day 7: To Torres del Paine

Breakfast, Lunch

Full day tour of Torres del Paine National Park, the most recognized landscape of Patagonia. This remote and beautiful area encompasses mountains, glaciers and lakes and is a habitat for guanaco, condor and the native flightless rhea. Visit Lake Grey, Salto Grande waterfall, Nordenskjold Lake and Lake Pehoe and continue to the Hotel Las Torres Patagonia for 2 nights (Superior Room).

Day 8: Torres del Paine

Breakfast

Half day visit to Laguna Azul and Rio Paine for another view of the Paine “horns”. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 9: To El Calafate

Breakfast

Drive past Amarga Lagoon and Lake Sarmiento to El Calafate in Argentina. Stay at the Hotel Kosten Aike for 3 nights*.

Day 10: Perito Moreno

Breakfast

Full day tour of the stunning Perito Moreno glacier. At 5 km wide, it is one of the few glaciers in the world that is advancing, and it is a magnificent sight. See the glacier from the observation platforms and take a cruise on the lake in front of the ice wall.

Day 11: El Calafate

Breakfast

Day at leisure to stroll around town or take an optional boat excursion to the Upsala Glacier.

Day 12: To Ushuaia

Breakfast

Morning flight to Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city. Stay at the Hotel Los Acebos for 2 nights.

Day 13: Ushuaia

Morning cruise along the Beagle Channel. Afternoon visit to the Tierra del Fuego National Park.

Day 14: To Buenos Aires
